When I found out we’d be on a call with Pixar to discuss Lightyear, I was sipping from my Buzz Lightyear mug, with my childhood Buzz Lightyear toy on a shelf behind me. I was beyond excited. Saying this job was a dream come true feels like an understatement.
Our team at Perception worked closely with the visionary creatives at Pixar Animation Studios to design and animate a main-on-end title sequence for Lightyear, directed by Angus MacLane. Lightyear is the movie that inspired the Buzz Lightyear action figure, and we were tasked with creating a title sequence that would complement Pixar's stunning visuals and dynamic animation—no small feat.
From our initial pitch through the final execution, working alongside Pixar to bring this sequence to life was an incredible honor. Collaborating with such an iconic studio to celebrate one of their most beloved characters was a true career highlight for me an our team.
