Main Titles - Direction + Design + Animation
The title sequence for Loki holds a special place in my heart as it was conceived and brought to life during quarantine with a small, dedicated team. With the entire world in lockdown, we relied on creativity and resourcefulness to turn a strong concept into reality, transforming one team member’s basement into our production space. Every prop in the sequence was either hand-crafted or sourced from local shops, giving the sequence a distinctive, tactile feel.
Our design focused on immersing viewers in the bureaucratic world of the TVA, embracing a retro-futuristic aesthetic that blends outdated technology with a sense of timeless authority. Each episode’s title sequence is crafted to be unique, updating details like photographs, posters, and even edits to reflect the TVA’s evolving story. These subtle changes give the TVA a lived-in quality, adding depth to its world with each new episode and inviting viewers to notice fresh details and hidden nods to Loki’s journey.
